Acaulescent, 10-25 cm high, bulbiferous, glabrous, perennial herb. Leaves on 9-20 cm long, petiole, glabrous; leaf blade 3-foliate; leaflets 1.5-2.5 cm x 3-3.5 cm, deltoid, subbilobed, lobes oblique, divergent, more or less oblong, obtuse, margin entire, base cuneate, hairy. Flowers actinomorphic, bisexual, 5-merous, hypogynous, 1-1.5 cm long in up to 9-flowered umbels on 9-23 cm long scapose glabrous peduncle; pedicels 0.8-1.3 cm long, glabrous; bracts 1.5-2.5 mm long, lanceolate. Sepals 5, connate slightly at base, 4-4.5 mm x ca. 1 mm, green, with 2 glands at the apex. Petals 5, free, 0.8-1.4 cm long, obovate, petals white to pale green proximally with green veins, purple to lavender or pink distally. Stamens 10, filaments connate at base (monoadelphous), stamens with long and short filaments alternating with one another; 5 longer stamens with ca. 4.5 mm long filaments and shorter with ca. 3 mm long filaments, sparingly hairy in upper half; all stamens fertile. Carpels 5, syncarpous; ovary ca. 2 mm long, 5-locular, many ovules per loculus, axile placentation; styles 5 (occasionally 7), 0.5-0.7 mm long; stigma capitate, green.
